PAST SIMPLE - Verb "be"
FORM:
I was I wasn't Was I ...? Yes, you were. / No, you weren't.
You were You weren't. Were you...? Yes, I was. / No, I wasn't.
He/She/It was He/she/it wasn't Was he/she/it .....? Yes, he/she/it was. / No, he/she/it wasn't.
We were We weren't Were we...? Yes, you were. / No, you weren't.
You were You weren't Were you...? Yes, we were. / No, we weren't.
They were They weren't Were they....? Yes, they were. / No, they weren't.
USE:
We use the past simple to talk about an action or state in the definite past.
For Example:
Where were you yesterday at 5pm?
I was a home.
When were you born?
I was born in 1968.
